AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands (ISE stand 3-A122) — January 29, 2014 — More than 100 eLearning, video and webcasting experts from higher education and leading enterprises across Europe will gather in Amsterdam next week for the annual Mediasite Community European Forum, hosted by Sonic Foundry, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOFO), the trusted leader for video content management and webcasting solutions.
The forum takes place 11:00 to 19:00, 3 February at Vrije University Amsterdam. Attendees will discover new ideas and video management best practices from Mediasite innovators, compare success strategies with peers and share feedback with Sonic Foundry leaders.
Representatives from Vrije University, National Centre for Dual Diagnosis, UMC Utrecht/Elevate Health, Stavanger Offshore Technical College and more will share their expertise with an audience spanning 14 countries.
“Mediasite is the preferred lecture recording solution for Norwegian higher education, and as a company providing that service to them, UNINETT attends the forum every year. It’s the place to meet others in Europe working with Mediasite,” said Thorleif Hallén, senior advisor, UNINETT. “It’s a day packed with great discussions and networking — all this while having fun.”
Sonic Foundry executives will showcase Mediasite 7, including Mediasite MultiView, a unique multi-video experience that records and streams up to four simultaneous high definition content sources.
“Our growing Mediasite Community has more than 1,550 members worldwide who inspire each other, and us, by actively sharing ideas and best practices. This forum is an opportunity for Mediasite users across Europe to meet face-to-face,” said Rob Lipps, Sonic Foundry’s executive vice president. “This year’s forum is extra special with our recent acquisition of MediaMission in the Netherlands. We’re excited to formally welcome them as part of our Sonic Foundry team.”
Sonic Foundry has a robust international customer base and a growing number of Mediasite Communities around the world. Its flagship global user conference, Unleash, is the largest annual gathering of Mediasite users. Unleash 2014 takes place April 28 to 30 in Madison, Wis.
