MADISON, Wis. — April 09, 2014 — Sonic Foundry, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOFO), the trusted leader for video content management and webcasting solutions, today announced the finalists for the company’s 10th Enterprise Video Awards, formerly the Rich Media Impact Awards.
Mediasite users nominated organizations for this annual honor of excellence in Mediasite integration into business, education, health and government. This year’s finalists achieved measurable improvements in information accessibility, cost-savings, efficiency and productivity through Mediasite and join more than 160 organizations from around the world that have been recognized since 2005.
Winners will be announced during a special ceremony at Unleash 2014, the Mediasite User Conference April 28-30 in Madison, Wis. All finalists in attendance at Unleash will have the chance to win an annual license of My Mediasite during a drawing. Sonic Foundry will also honor two higher education institutions each with a $2,500 scholarship to award to a worthy student, as well as a one-year license of My Mediasite for their institution’s use.

Prolific Use Award: Recognizes an organization that has dramatically scaled its rich video program to achieve broad use across its enterprise, or a large number of presentations or presentation views

Sonic Foundry Video in Education Scholarship: Designed to encourage and enhance students’ higher education experiences through rich media. The winning university develops the criteria to award this scholarship to a worthy student. The student wins $2500 and the winning university will receive a one-year My Mediasite license

Video Maverick Award: Recognizes an individual for his or her tireless efforts to evangelize rich media. Finalists will be selected for championing the adoption and use of video both within and outside of his or her organization, and educating others on using the power of video to inspire, teach and mobilize their communities
