Sonic Foundry Named Global Lecture Capture Leader by Frost & Sullivan for Seventh Consecutive Year

Top analyst firm recognizes Sonic Foundry, creator of Mediasite, for its customer loyalty, global reach and innovative products

MADISON, Wis. — July 30, 2014 — Sonic Foundry, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOFO), the trusted leader for video creation and management solutions, today announced that it has been recognized with Frost & Sullivan’s 2014 Global Market Share Leadership Award in Lecture Capture Solutions. This is the seventh consecutive year Sonic Foundry has received this recognition.

Sonic Foundry captured the highest market share of revenue in the lecture capture industry, according to Frost & Sullivan analysts. The analyst firm estimates the size of the lecture capture solutions market at approximately $162 million in 2013, more than double the 2011 size of $70 million.
